Amaryllis Mug

The vibrant images of brilliantly colored amaryllis on this slender porcelain mug are from Flore des serres et des jardins de l'Europe, a lavish 19th-century Belgian periodical that specialized in colorful, rare, and exotic plants, many of which came from South America.

The illustrations are from the Rare Book Collections of the Mertz Library here at the Garden. The mug measures 4¼" x 2¾".
