This title is monograph 22 of the Flora Neotropica series. It is the last contribution towards the taxonomic elucidation of the Flacourtiaceae, which the author has studied for more than 40 years. The present treatment is based almost entirely on macromorphological vegetative and floral characters, which are not always satisfactory as their constancy is doubtful in a number of taxa.
