Henry Moore Journal: Sheep with Lamb

Henry Moore’s studio in the English countryside overlooked fields where a farmer grazed his sheep. Moore was fascinated by their shapes, discerning the individual character of each sheep underneath all the wool. Sheep with Lamb V (1972), one of Moore’s tender, vigorous drawings of sheep from a sketchbook originally presented to his daughter, Mary, in 1972, is framed by the die-cut cover of this journal.
