Large Kokeshi Dolls

Of all the native folk toys of Japan, perhaps none is as beloved as the Kokeshi doll, first created hundreds of years ago by craftsmen living in the mountains of northern Japan. These large Usaburo Kokeshi dolls are among the most beautiful examples of the traditional wooden figures, with their appealingly simple shape and smooth finish.

Hand-painted in vibrant colors, each doll wears a painted kimono with a different decoration of flowers. Highly collectible. 7” tall.
