This title is monograph 55 in the Flora Neotropica series. Brako provides a systematic treatment of the neotropical species of the lichen genus Phyllopsora. This study reduces the number of neotropical taxa in this genus to 18 species and 11 varieties, of which one species and one variety are described as new.
