Pineapple Salt and Pepper Shakers

The New York Botanical Garden in association with Lunt Silversmiths, a leader in innovative silver design, has developed a distinctive collection of tableware, decorative accessories, and gifts inspired by some of the finest examples of botanical art in the Rare Book Collections of the Garden’s LuEsther T. Mertz Library. Combining beautiful 18th-century botanical imagery with a modern sensibility, these exquisitely crafted pieces are objects to be treasured as heirlooms.

The enchanting salt and pepper shakers are inspired by the glorious images of pineapples by master botanical illustrator Georg Dionysius Ehret in Plantae Selectae (Nuremberg: 1750-73). Made of silver plate, they are like sparkling jewels for the table. They measure 3” tall and fill from the bottom. The set comes in a beautiful gift box with The New York Botanical Garden logo.
