Round Bird Cage

The New York Botanical Garden in association with Barreveld International, a leader in distinctive designs for the home, has developed a superb collection of decorative accessories inspired by period drawings in the Rare Book Collections of the Mertz Library here at the Garden.

This beautifully crafted iron bird cage with its rustic verdigris finish has a band around its base patterned in the style of chinoiserie. Although it can be used for birds, we like it simply as a decorative touch on the porch. The cage measures 20¼” H x 11” Dia.
