This title is volume 75 of Memoirs of The New York Botanical Garden. This treatment is part of the Biological Dynamics of Forest Fragmentation Project, which was designed to assess the effects of forest fragmentation on the plants and animals of once contiguous tropical forest. This portion of the study describes three new species of Lecythidaceae and provides a taxonomic treatment of the family in central Amazonia. Keys to the genera and species are given in English and Portuguese.
