Terracotta Bird Feeder, Garden Sage
Hand-thrown in Honduran terracotta clay, finished by hand in Garden Sage
Part of the Bloomist x NYBG collection, this bird feeder is made in small batches in Honduras using locally sourced terracotta clay. Its rounded form features three openings that give visiting birds easy access to seed from multiple sides. A small hole beneath the front opening lets you add a natural perch by inserting a small stick of your choosing. Hang it from the attached jute rope, or place it on a wrought iron stand (sold separately) for easy placement across gardens, patios, terraces, and other outdoor spaces. The collection’s signature Garden Sage wash is applied by our artisans with natural variations in the clay and finish making each piece distinct.
Birdlife is part of the changing landscape of the New York Botanical Garden—and part of the larger experience of noticing nature throughout New York City. Inspired by that connection, this feeder creates a place to observe the visitors that pass through and return with the seasons.
