In the illuminated manuscripts of the Grandes Heures of Anne of Brittany, preserved at the National Library of France, two motifs are selected this year: illuminations of strawberries and an iris plate. This work was commissioned by Queen Anne of Brittany from the illuminator Jean Bourdichon at the beginning of the 16th century. Reproduced on slightly aged parchment paper, the motifs have a hot-stamped gold border that evokes the gold background of the original illuminations. As a decorative object or for personal notes, this notebook in the style of an old book will appeal to artists, poets, writers, and will welcome notes, recipes, secrets, travel stories, thoughts... The paper is made in a vat following artisanal processes, from cotton scraps. It is then treated to receive all types of ink. 10 x 15 cm (3.94' x 5.9') and 15 x 20 cm (5.9' x 8') Our collections are always part of an ecological and ethical approach.
